The optical transceiver is the basic constituent unit of the physical layer in the 5G network, which is widely used in wireless and transmission equipment. 5G bearer network is generally divided into access layer, convergence layer and core layer to achieve the front-haul, mid-haul functions of 5G services. The colored transceiver is installed on AAU and DU, and the WDM function is completed by passive equipment through a pair or a single optical fiber to provide multiple connections between AAU and DU. GrenTech 10G and 25G colored transceiver and WDM cassette can be used in combination.
The corresponding WDM/OTN equipment is configured in the AAU station and the DU room. Optical fiber resources are shared by multiple front-haul signals through WDM technology. GrenTech provides 10G/25G short distance grey light transceiver matching this connection mode. 10G or 25G colored transceiver required in WDM/OTN equipment room also available at GrenTech.
